HBOT should be considered as a fundamental approach to managing the symptoms related to Fibromyalgia. New research reveals that inflammation in the brain (and throughout the body) is linked to Fibromyalgia. Neuroinflammation (as measured in cerebrospinal fluid) and inflammatory processes throughout the body (as measured in blood plasma) both play a significant role in Fibromyalgia according to research just published by researchers in Sweden.  Whereas there are some known medical treatments that lower brain inflammation, the anti-inflammatory effects of HBOT are well known, along with its numerous other effects including reducing swelling, stimulating the development on new neurons, supporting the immune system, and increasing the body’s production of stem cells. All of these can play a role in treating and reducing the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.
